Connect Claude to Marketproof MCP.

The full path for Claude.ai on the web and the Claude Desktop app: add the connector, authorize it, switch it on in a chat, and ask your first question. New here? Start with the general setup guide to create your account and credentials first.

Grab your credentials

In your Marketproof console, open Connect AI, choose Claude, and pair it with a Connection. The wizard hands you the three values Claude needs, each with a copy button:

Server URL: https://mcp.marketproof.com/tools
Client ID and Client Secret for the Connection.

Plan check: adding custom connectors on Claude.ai requires a Pro or Max plan (or a Team/Enterprise workspace where an Owner adds it for everyone). Free Claude accounts can't add custom connectors on the web.

Add the connector in Claude

Now in Claude.ai, in a separate tab:

Click your account name at the bottom-left and choose Settings.

Open Connectors. Click Add in the top-right and choose Add custom connector.

Name it Marketproof and paste the Server URL: https://mcp.marketproof.com/tools

Expand Advanced settings, paste the Client ID and Client Secret from step 1, and click Add.

On Claude Desktop, connectors you add on Claude.ai show up automatically under the same account. You can also manage them in the app under Settings > Connectors, same three values.

Authorize the connection

Open the Marketproof entry in Settings > Connectors and click Connect. Claude opens a Marketproof sign-in and consent screen; approve it with your Marketproof account, and Claude receives its access. This is a one-time step per account.

Try it

Back in the Marketproof wizard, the final step suggests first prompts and confirms everything works end to end. Or just ask Claude directly:

"Using Marketproof, what sold in Park Slope in the last 60 days over $2M?"

First call approval: the first time Claude calls a Marketproof capability in a conversation, it may ask you to approve the action. Approve once and the rest of the conversation flows.

If something doesn't work

Can't find "Add custom connector"

Custom connectors need Claude Pro or Max. On Team or Enterprise, a workspace Owner adds Marketproof for the whole workspace.

Connect fails or loops

Re-check the three values, especially that the Server URL is exactly https://mcp.marketproof.com/tools and the secret belongs to the same Connection as the ID. Rotating the secret in Marketproof and re-pasting fixes most cases.

Claude answers without data

Check the connector is toggled on in that conversation (the + menu, then Connectors). New conversations remember your last setting.

"Insufficient credits"

Your Marketproof balance hit zero. Top up on the Credits page, or enable auto-recharge. Contact us if anything else is stuck.
